1st round:

  • Diff between page object and page factory?
  • What is data-driven testing?
  • Diff between abstract class and interface?
  • Singleton dsgn pattern?
  • Explain framework.
  • How u estimate ur work?
  • static and dynamic binding
  • Stale element exception?
  • Desired capability?
  • Diff between hashmap and HashSet
  • How u integrate rest assured with the project?
  • Approach and types of testing performed by u on API testing?

2nd Round:

  • Basic intro
  • Background in cucumber
  • What all is included in the runner class in cucumber
  • How you implement listeners in your framework
  • Explain the interface from your framework perspective, not the definition
  • How many listener interfaces are you using
  • How you use loggers in your project for debugging
  • Are there any log listeners in your framework? If not can you use it?
  • What is a constructor?
  • Can we have more than one constructor in a class?
  • In default constructor can you initialize variables even without passing parameters?
  • What exceptions can occur in selenium and have seen them in the project?
  • What is a stale element exception? Then what is a timeout exception?
  • How do you setup the environment in Postman
  • How you store a response to one request and use the same response in another request in Postman
  • Diff between 200 and 201.
  • If you create any resource you get 201. But sometimes we get 200 as well as for successful response. How will you verify this 200 is coming instead of 201, if it’s a bug?
  • How are you storing the URL of your application in the framework
  • Suppose you have 50 APIs in config out of which 48 are common to dev and test env but 2 are diff in both. How do you handle this in the framework?

3rd round: Managerial

  • Tell me about yourself
  • How many frameworks have you worked on till now?
  • Tell me something about TestNG that you liked.
  • Do you use Maven project and if yes why?
  • Tell me about cucumber and why you are not using cucumber in your project. Explain properly with valid points
  • Tell cucumber features
  • Given an API to fetch user details by sending empId in request what can be the possible test cases? Can you write some cases?
  • Suppose your org has some QAs and they have all manual test cases available with them. Now you want to hire someone to automate your test cases. From your end what automation tool will you suggest and why? How will you estimate the time for all these scenarios to automate? What can be the risks involved in the above scenarios? Can you name some of them?
  • How many project time estimates do you know?
  • In recent times any accomplishment did you receive from an employee who does not belong to your team? How do you help them?
  • Are you willing to relocate?
  • Do you have any questions for me?
