In America in 1968, the Capital Services Group was organized to design, develop and supervise the computer affairs of Louisiana’s Capital Bank and its affiliated service bureau. Back then, CMC technology specialists were called data processing analysts and programmers (as opposed to today’s information systems and software engineers.
